In July 2023, the Dead Dog Gallery was formally opened. Our opening event coincided with celebrations marking 110 years of education at Durham Sixth Form Centre.
To mark the occasion previous artists and designers-in-residence work was celebrated in a collaborative exhibition on the first floor whilst the ground floor was utilised to exhibit outcomes of work made by our community class participants.
The gallery was officially opened by Steve Cram CBE, accompanied by Paula Radcliffe, pictured with Mrs Beveridge CEO and James Ramsbotham CBE DL.
"We longed for a gallery space to bring our vision to life, showcase the work of talented artists and unite creative communities. Our opening exhibition celebrated the success of our efforts and offered a glimpse of the exciting possibilities ahead."
